Who we are

What we collect

Searching without an account: we do not create a profile. Requests are rate-limited in memory by IP address (not stored). If you use Grok chat while signed out, a salted hash of your IP address and a daily message count are stored to enforce the free limit.

Account: your email address, and if you use GitHub sign-in, your GitHub name, avatar URL, and account id. A session cookie keeps you signed in; session records are stored in our database.

Billing: Stripe processes payments. We store your Stripe customer id and subscription status, never card details.

Chat: messages you send to Grok, plus the ids of the results you are looking at, are sent to xAI to generate answers. We do not store chat transcripts. [xAI data retention terms: TO BE CONFIRMED.]

Logs: servers may log technical errors (without message content, keys, or card data).

Processors
